FAQ

q. Do you build your buildings on site or are they delivered complete?
* Either way. Buildings over 10' wide are built on site. 8 & 10 ' wide buildings can be delivered complete if the site has access at least as wide as the building. With our new mule we can squeeze through tight spots, go across wet yards without damaging them. All we need is the width of the building and enough room to maneuver it into position without getting a truck in your yard.

q. Do you sell kits so I can build it myself?
*  No, we do not sell kits
q.Site Preparation Suggestions:
*  Remove 4" of sod 2' wider and 2' longer than building  and fill with ¾" crushed stone.
*  Build a level frame with 4x4’s on top of the ground and fill with ¾" crushed stone.
*  Place 4x4’s the opposite direction of the skids on the building, 4' on center. Dig into ground to level.
*  4" thick concrete slab with thickened edge, 1" smaller than building. Siding will lap over concrete ¾". Ramps must also
drop down 1" for door to swing. We will drill and put concrete anchors into the pad.
*  Piers—see sketch.
*  A level row of concrete block under each skid.
*  Any of these options are normally available through us or one of our professional subcontractors.
All sites must be level.
q. Is a gravel base required?
*. No, i t is not required, however it is better than blocking. It is more stable with freezing and thawing and keeps the moisture down better. If piers are used, no gravel or blocking is needed. Contact :

q. What are the delivery charges?
*  The first 50 miles from our plant in Plain City is free. Contact your local dealer for charges after 50 miles.

q. Do you have buildings in stock ready for delivery?

*  Most of our buildings are made to order, so we don't stock a lot of buildings. Occasionally we do have display models available for quick delivery. See our models in stock page.

q. What about permits?

*  We can provide you with drawings and specs to take to you local building department, but we do not get the permits for you.

q. How important is a treated floor?
*  As long as the building is in a dry area and ventilation is adequate, the standard floor is sufficient unless treated floor is required by code. Treated plywood is only protected from rot, but not delamination in high moisture conditions. The 2x8 treated floor is recommended when the building is used as a garage for a vehicle or in high moisture situations.

q. Will the floor hold what I want to put in the building?
*  We usually say the floor say the floor will hold whatever you can get through the standard size doors.

If permission is granted to enter yard, we are not responsible for yard damage
